Domestic Abuse Intervention Program (DAIP)

The Domestic Abuse Intervention Program (DAIP) meets every Tuesday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., for women’s group and every Thursday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., for men’s group. This program is certified by the NC Council for Women/Domestic Violence Commission and is sponsored by Family Resources of Rutherford County in partnership with DircectCare Community Based services.  The confidential-based meetings are comprised of state certified facilitators. The program specializes in re-educating abusers by educating them about their behavior and developing non-violent methods of interaction in their relationships. The groups also include open forum session that allows members the opportunity to discuss on-going struggles, sharing of success stories or relapses of acts of violence.   Other strategies include role play, supportive feedback, planned topics, videos and any environmental challenges related to their on-going recovery.   Handouts are readily available regarding partner abuse and child abuse resources, linkage to other community agencies such as, Department of Social Service, Community College System, JobLink and Mental Health Services are also available.

Women’s group meets every Tuesday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Men’s group meets every Thursday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

ADDICTIONS RECOVERY GROUP

The recovery group meets every Tuesday, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. The confidential-based meetings are comprised of a facilitator that presents topics that allows willing members to provide feedback regarding their history, drug of choice, period of sobriety, on-going struggles, and sharing of success stories or relapses. The sessions also include open forum sessions that allows any member with the opportunity to provide self association information regarding day to day challenges or spirituality-based interventions.  Other strategies include word play, supportive feedback, planned topics, and any environmental challenges related to their on-going recovery.   Handouts are readily available regarding drug and alcohol resources and other self help agencies.

Recovery group meets every Tuesday, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
