Child and Adolescent Day Treatment (MH/SA)

Day Treatment includes a structured treatment service program that builds on the strengths and addresses the identified functional problems associated with the complex conditions of each individual child or adolescent and family. These interventions are designed to support symptom reduction and/or sustain symptom stability at lowest possible levels, increase the individual’s ability to cope and relate to others, support and sustain recovery, and enhance the child’s capacity to function in an inclusive setting or to be maintained in community based services. It is available for children 3 to 17 years of age (20 or younger for those who are eligible for Medicaid).
Day Treatment provides mental health and/or substance abuse interventions in the context of a treatment milieu. This service should be focused on achieving functional gains, be developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant and sensitive, child and family centered and focus on reintegrating the individual back into the school or transitioning into employment. The outcomes and therapeutic or rehabilitation goals of this service are defined in individual treatment goals outlined in the PCP/Child and Family Plan. The Child and Family Team, are those persons relevant to the child’s successful achievement of service goals including, but not limited to, family members, mentors, school personnel and members of the community who may provide support, structure, and services for the child. Day Treatment programs are located in Rutherford and Polk counties.

Outpatient Therapy Services

Outpatient Therapy services are individualized and designed to meet the clinically significant behavioral or psychological symptoms or patterns that have been identified as treatment needs of the recipient. This service is provided through scheduled therapeutic treatment sessions. Outpatient Therapy provides consultative services, individual, group, and family psychotherapy to adults and children. Specialties include: stress, anger management, depression, behavioral modification, post traumatic issues related to physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, domestic violence and grief. Interventions can include: mental health therapy, behavioral counseling, counseling for substance abuse issues and psychoeducation about mental health and/or substance abuse. This service is designed as a structured therapeutic intervention to provide support and guidance in preventing, overcoming or managing identified needs on the service plan to aid with improving level of functioning, increasing coping abilities or skills or sustaining a successful level of functioning on an outpatient basis.

Residential Treatment–Level III

Residential Treatment Level III service is responsive to the need for intensive, active therapeutic intervention, which requires a staff secure treatment setting in order to be successfully implemented. This setting has a higher level of consultative and direct service from psychologists, psychiatrists, medical professionals, etc.

Intensive In-Home (IIH)-

A team approach designed to address the identified needs of children and adolescents who, due to serious and chronic symptoms of an emotional, behavioral, or substance use disorder, are unable to remain stable in the community without intensive interventions. This service may only be provided to individuals through age 17. This medically necessary service directly addresses the individual’s mental health or substance use disorder diagnostic and clinical needs. The needs are evidenced by the presence of a diagnosable mental, behavioral, or emotional disturbance (as defined by DSM-5 or any subsequent editions of this reference material), with documentation of symptoms and effects reflected in the Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and the PCP. This team provides a variety of clinical rehabilitative interventions available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
