Comprehensive Clinical Assessments

A comprehensive clinical assessment includes the following Diagnostic Assessments, Mental Health Assessments, and Substance Abuse Assessments. They are an intensive clinical and functional face-to-face evaluation by licensed professionals of an individual’s presenting mental health, developmental disability, and/or substance abuse condition. A written report is generated based on the findings of the clinician that provides a diagnosis, recommendations for services, supports, and/or treatment. It serves as the clinical basis for the development of the Person Centered Plan (PCP) or the service plan when a PCP is not required. Comprehensive Clinical Assessment services are available to children and adults that are new to the MH/DD/SA health system and for those whom a decision is needed to determine the appropriate level of care required to meet the current needs of the client.
